Just East of I-75 is a fab­u­lous teach­ing zoo.  Part of the Santa Fe Col­lege Zoo Ani­mal Tech­nol­ogy Pro­gram, the zoo is not only a bless­ing to stu­dents, but ani­mal lovers and fam­i­lies alike.  The five semes­ter pro­gram is designed to pre­pare stu­dents for employ­ment in zoos and ani­mal facil­i­ties, while pro­vid­ing local res­i­dents and tourists with a zoo that includes an  inti­mate feel­ing , and allows you to really get close and per­sonal to the ani­mals there.  Great for all ages.    Their mis­sion state­ment says it best :  “Adding value to the lives of our stu­dents, enrich­ing our com­mu­nity and improv­ing the future for ani­mals is the Teach­ing zoo’s mission”
